Myles Standish Update

Sadly all the Myles Standish events were cancelled for 2020, apart from the Thanksgiving Service which will be a virtual one from St. Laurence's on 15th November. Things have still been happening e.g. schools have exhibition boards & education packs, but all else is now pencilled in for 2021.

Historian Bill Walker takes us on a virtual tour of sites around Chorley related to the history of Myles Standish and his heritage and legacy. Due to current restrictions, a physical Myles Standish exhibition has not been possible. This Myles Standish Exhibition video sets out to answer with three main questions:

1) Where did Myles Standish hale from?
2) What was his record as a leader and military advisor to the Pilgrims?
3) What were his dealings with the native Americans?
